Gender Climate Infrastructure Consultant (Consultant B)

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Gender Climate Infrastructure Consultant (Type B) to support a five‑month consultancy focused on gender‑transformative, climate‑resilient infrastructure in Vanuatu. The role is home‑based with occasional travel to the country to engage stakeholders and conduct field assessments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on integrating gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) into climate‑resilient infrastructure planning, design, and implementation.
- Conduct capacity‑building workshops for local institutions and partners on gender‑transformative approaches.
- Generate knowledge products, including guidelines, case studies, and policy recommendations.
- Collaborate with UN Women, the Pacific Community and other donors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Support monitoring and evaluation of gender‑responsive outcomes in infrastructure projects.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in gender studies, climate change, infrastructure planning, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in gender‑responsive climate or infrastructure projects, preferably in Pacific contexts.
- Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities, with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
