Communications Advocacy Manager

About the role

World Vision Vanuatu is seeking a Communications Advocacy Manager to lead the creation and delivery of communication resources for partners, donors, beneficiaries and staff. The role supports the strategic goals of the country office and aligns national communications with the global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production of communication materials for key stakeholders.
• Manage internal staff communications to advance WV Vanuatu’s strategic objectives.
• Maintain media relevance and handle national and international media relations.
• Direct external communications on development and advocacy issues across multiple platforms.
• Support reporting of advocacy achievements to the Regional Office and Global Center.
• Oversee communications during emergencies and reputation‑risk situations.
• Ensure alignment of the national communications strategy with World Vision’s global strategy.

Required profile

• Vocational training degree, preferably in communications or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience leading and managing communications or production teams, ideally in international NGOs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bislama and English.
• Ability to travel locally and internationally and to walk long distances when required.
• Ni‑Vanuatu nationals, including women, men and people living with disability, are highly encouraged to apply.

• Editorial work and graphic design.
• Media relations and digital content development.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Apple video/photo editing software.
• Strong computer skills on both Mac and PC platforms.
• Familiarity with web page design.
